Your EEG Appointment is Confirmed!
Here's everything to know before you come in.
What is an EEG and why does it matter?
Just as an EKG provides valuable insight into the heart, a spectral EEG gives our providers objective data about your brain activity and function. This quick, noninvasive scan helps map how different regions of the brain are functioning and communicating in real time.
By combining EEG data with your treatment history, symptoms, and experiences, our providers can establish a more comprehensive baseline of brain function and identify areas that may help guide your personalized treatment plan.
At Alleviant, an EEG is an important part of our comprehensive approach to mental health care. We incorporate this assessment into care when appropriate, because we believe treatment should be informed by more than symptoms alone. Our goal is to better understand each person’s unique brain function and use that information, alongside their symptoms, history, and clinical evaluation, to help guide more targeted, personalized, and informed care.
To get the clearest possible EEG reading, please review the following before your appointment.
